Absolutely bouncing the whole day as we made our way to Ayresome Park to see the mighty Boro take on the mackems

Our 5th game of the season seen us with a record of won 2, drew 2, goals 2, conceded 0

Big Jacks team defensively were as good as you would find from any top tier team back then, if only we had a CF to take over from big John

Well we did for this game, as Sunderland fan Alan Willey, scored a brace this day, cancelling out their goal lead

Remember a few of us made the trek from Whinney banks to our place in the holgate was one, big, long soaken walk
