Middlesbrough Ironopolise only spent the one season in the football league

In season 1893/94 when our home record playing at Linthorpe road ground was very good, only losing 3 out 14 games

Nops away record, not so, only winning the one away game, didnt draw any games either, 2 points on the road

Strange that the only game Nops won, boxing day, was away to Lincoln City, winning 3-2, the very team the Boro of today played in our 1st ever league game, unfortunately we wern't as successful as the Nops, losing the game 3-0 & going the whole season without an away win
