There is a group from work who live in Darlington Hartlepool and Stockton  all over 40yo who want to go on a Friday in September, probably the month end.

I thought start in The Last Orders, then toward Barracuda, Pig Iron and The Central then it's thier problem

Mixed men and women and two mixed men

Any advice

The Central is awful now. I wouldn't bother there.

I used to always drink in there after the match but they play music at ear bleeding levels so swerve it now.

evidently all towns are, that's why they fancy somewhere different. A bit too old for Yarn.

Norton was decent last time I was there

Never been in town on a night for years.
Had a few afternoons on Baker and Bedford Streets though.
Some decent boozers.

Agree avoid the Central. The Pig Iron is sound. Last Orders can be a laugh.

It would also depend what kind of night you want.

Quieter or partier? "Spit and sawdust" pub or airy fairy Bedford/Baker St boozers.

BoroRedKen

See? Johnny "drinks" in the "airy fairy" pubs!

Its all quiff-quaffing and bloody Irish singers wailing about losing Seamus the Donkey and Ma Rileys washrooms...

I don't want to be chatting about Vegetarians, warm beer and Greenpeace so Baker street is a no no
