2 days earlier we kicked off the season away to West Brom with both teams finishing the game a point apiece & goaless game

Roll on to this day the 29th August we welcomed Oldham Athletic for our 1st home game of the season

Andy Nesbit Wilson, who had returned back to the Boro after WW1 & a couple of seasons playing in Scotland, scored our goal in a 1-1 draw, infront of 20,000 fans

Boro who had been in the top flight since 1902 & yet to be relegated as a league club ended the season in an excellent 8th place, equalling the previous seasons 8th finish

Andy went on to score 32 goals in 35 league games
