Police say a 43-year-old man is dead after flipping his golf cart while playing in a league at the Copper Hills Golf Course in Oxford.

Eric Ostdiek, of Troy, was driving a 2007 Club Car golf cart on the course Thursday just after 7 p.m. with a 41-year-old Macomb Township resident in the passenger seat.

Investigators say Ostdiek was driving the cart too fast. It is unknown at this time if alcohol was involved in the crash, which remains under investigation.
