Robbos revolution in the final season at Ayresome Park, started on this day the 13th of August 1994 with a home fixture against Burnley

With league debuts given to Alan Miller (RIP) signed from Arsenal, registered No641, our 1st £1m transfer Neil Cox from Aston Villa, registered No642, Nigel Pearson signed from Sheff Weds registered No643, Clayton Blackmore, signed from Man Utd, registered No644 & Robbo himself, registered No645, starting out as player manager (IIRC our 4th player manager behind Andy Aitken who was the 1st, Stan Anderson was a player coach, the 1st in our history, big Jack kept his registration as a player & turned out in a few reserve games & Robbo himself)

We also welcomed "back home" in the visitors camp, ex Boro 1986 legend, 'Gary Parkinson'

John Hendrie started the season at Ayresome Park, as he finished, by scoring a brace as the mighty Boro started the campaign & Robbos reign, with a 2-0 win infront of 23,343 fans

Scary how time flies. I was at that game with my son who was 11 at the time, 40 this year!!
Burnley had a Marlon Beresford in goal who went on to play a few games for us I think.

Great season this one - and the start of a magical trip we were entering. We really did upset the establishment with stellar signings that created astonishment and jealousy amongst certain sections of football.

Sadly, those heady days will not be repeated in my days I have left.

Me & my mate travelled to the game on a coach full of PF fans who were going to the concert, my mate back then was a tour rep on fans going to concert & organised our lift, we go dropped off just outside Luton & hitched a lift off a passing car, ironically an older lady whose son played for Lutons reserves

Went to Earls court after the hammnering, had a few beets then jumped back on the coach full of PF fans for our return journey
