Frankly, our recruitment has not been good enough, we have gone backwards. Signings of promise have so much to live up to - perhaps too much?

Logged on from US where I am and whilst disappointed not surprised. Penny pinching for signing will cost us - big time. Poor start to a new season - things can only get better.

So tell me where I'm wrong. Did we lose today? Did we score at all? Did we offer any real and consistent threat? Some need to wake up to reality. We will not sustain a promotion challenge without 3-4 quality players being brought in. So some need to accept we gave it a go last season and seem incapable of doing the same again.

How some can view this as a negative outlook I find very surprising.

Agree with you mate

How anyone can see us as promotion or play-off contenders is beyond me

Would like to see Coburn given some game time to see how he does

It was frankly what many expected , you do not replace 1/3 of your side in a heartbeat , but should never have got into this position either. MC is back where he was with a major rebuild again ....but this time with expectations attatched.
Lack of pace & movement was obvious , defensively poor out wide again against pace , no edge up front with mcgree looking a shadow of himself . Plusses were Silvera & Dieng & at least the bench looked stronger, but how fit really are many of them ......playing catch up cost us last year , it will be hard to replicate the quality of what we found last year with loans & competion will be fierce from the "money" teams for quality
