The late, great Willie Maddren took his Boro team to their 2nd friendly of the summer when we travelled to Sincil bank Lincoln City

Gary Rowell put us one up for his 1st Boro goal & Archie Stephens scored the 2nd which secured a 2-1 win

O'Reardon and Beagrie were the two that walked out on the club when we were in the mire.
I imagine they both regret that.

When I went to the 20 year anniversary meal Colin Cooper stood up & made a very emotional speech, he said, players can go through their entire career & not experience what we did in the 18 or so months after liquidation, the players & fans were so united, it was an unbelievable, unforgettable period that I am thankful I was able to play my part, you think that period is going to last forever, I know certain players who walked away will never experience what we went through
