We/me dad and I used to fill the half-times in on the selected games in the Boro programme often referred to in letters on the little electronic score boards at Ayresome Park in the main stand. Then I would study them and write down any changes in the full-time result from the News of the World paper on a Sunday. It wasn't until I was a teenager would we get the sports gazette.

Bookies pencil for the half times and pen at home for the full times. Happy Days

Mine is a night cup game against Bolton in the mid 90's, probably the only time I went to a game with my dad, my son was about 11.


Really I hardly knew him before his 50's, but f I miss him and mam.
