A recent survey revealed that 8% of Brits have no friends.

I find that quite shocking and scary.
Loneliness is a terrible situation. I hate the fact that there are some people out there that have nobody to talk to or any social interaction.

Im 1 of them people that if i see someone sat on their own at a party or a boozer i will go over and at least try to involve them.

This is why i like RR. I want people to use RR so at least some people have folks to chat with.
A say a community because i want to us to know each other socially.

I socialise with a few lads off here. I would happily buy anyone of you a pint (even Coulbs and The Blotmiester, although i would let Smoggy51 buy me 1!).

How many OTR can say they know each other "off the boards"?.....

It's probably still a raw time for you (no pun intended) but when you feel ready get yourself on some dating sites, I know lads who have used them on the quiet and made something of them and some even use them for shagging even at 50 plus. It's the new way, I'm not saying it is easy and whether I would give it a go or not is hard to say until in that position.

I prefer the "old fashioned" way Mikey. Its probably the last thing on my mind at the min.

I might be big 'n' ugly but i have never had an issue with the "ladies"!.

I might be a bit rusty after 21 years with Carmen but when my interest is piqued i think i shall be ok.

Fwiw i like to think im over the "depression" of Carmens passing. I can now smile when i think of her (which tbh is still a lot) but its not sadness all the time.
I am still a bit lost without her but its getting easier.
I have redecorated my house so hopefully it will start to feel like a home and not just a house anymore.

I think that's how I would go about things at first, but like i say the is a whole new way out there, just keep it to yourself if nervous I now know two lads who have made decent catches the online way, both in looks persons met.

The other stuff you handle in your own way and time really. Of course, you don't ever give up the memories but the comes a time when you do need to move on for your own well-being I would guess.
