Born this day 1962

Bruce Rioch signed Barham from Huddersfield Town in March 1988 making his Boro debut away to Wimbledon on the 25th March, registered No595 when wearing the No11 shirt, he went on to make 4 appearences for the Boro, one as sub

Mark Proctor also made his (2nd) debut that afternoon, Bernie put the mighty Boro one up but Wimbledon equalised

I was there that day, one of 82 grounds I've visited following the Boro

I remember going away to Brighton on the supporters coach one windy night match (28/2/1990) we lost 1-0 with Mark Barham scoring the only goal of the game

I honestly thought he played more than 4 games. Did he finish injured?.

And unless we either get a lower league club in cup draws or friendlies or relegation it must be nigh on impossible to visit all 92 grounds watching the Boro?

Yea he never really got over his injuries, left us in 89 dropped down to non league then ended up at Brighton, not sure how long he was there mind, or how many games he played

I thought he was an excellent signing when Bruce brought him here but sadly it just didn't work out

Yes his better days were at Norwich where he burst on to the scene as an exciting prospect, sadly injuries played a big part in his career
