@BoroRedKen ive spent the last 20 years working in Silicon Valley so have spent huge amounts of time over there in all parts of the country. It's impossible to get any sensible information when you're being bombarded with Fox News and NBC. It's almost like 24 hour satire. I sit in hotel rooms laughing at how utterly ridiculous it. They're intelligent educated people with no access to information

It does have some dreadful social issues though particularly homelessness. California is 8th biggest economy in the world but its levels of homelessness are horrendous.

Yup - lived here over 20 years on both the west (including daily interaction with people in SV) and east coasts and worked in around 30 states. 

I have friends and colleagues across the country in all political, social and racial groups so have a pretty broad insight into the US.

When the Democrats start losing support in places like SF you know they have gone too far - and they have.
