John Neals 1st season in charge

He inherited an excellent team, brought in some excellent signings & through the reserves too, we were blessed

We were good as anyone on our day at home, on our travels we struggled, something JN never got the better of during his time as manager

This day we beat Man Utd 2-1 at Ayresome Park with goals from Billy Ashcroft, his 2nd for the Boro since his record transfer & David Mills his 6th of the season
