Brighton - Great to see them doing so well

What a fantastically run club Brighton are, are they really punching above their weight?

May 2016 - Final game of the Championship season Boro draw 1-1 with Brighton at a colourful, noisy & passionate Riverside stadium, as the mighty Boro are promoted as runners up to Burnley, level points with Brighton prior to kickoff but 2 goals superior Boro just needed to avoid defeat.
Brighton then suffered the heartache of losing both legs of the semi final to losing finalists Sheff Weds 

12 months later, as Boro's awful's season in the PL seen us relegated, Brighton put the playoff heartache behind them finishing second behind Newcastle & 8 points above third placed Reading

Their first season back in the PL they stayed up with ease, the following season by the skin of their teeth, then they've comfortably finished, more or less, top half in the PL

They lost Graham Potter a year or so ago to Chelsea, with talk of him eventually succeeding Gareth Soutgate as the next England manager & Brighton most likely suffer due to him departing, they grew stronger, Potter didn't last to long at Chelsea & now nowhere to be seen.
I wouldn't have a clue who their present manager is now

After giving Spurs a 2-0 lead they went on to beat them 3-2 & after losing the one game this season sit 6th in the table, two points behind media darlings Chelsea & Villa & above Newcastle 

What has been their success, how come we made a fist of our brief stay in the PL & continue to fight hard to try & mount a serious challenge for a playoff spot Brighton continue to prosper

Yes they no doubt have money, but that won't guarantee survival, they've also lost a few big name players but they still carry on progressing as a club & long may it continue

You do a Brighton by selling your Cacieodos, Macallisters etc and reinvesting. Rinse and repeat as you grind upwards. Same for Brentford.
That's what Boro are trying to do, and that's why the most important person in the club isn't your manager or your number 9 (even if he's on 20-odd goals). It's your scout.
