In 1999 the population was 58m and we had 1m NHS staff.

In 2023 the population was 68m and we had 1.8m NHS staff.

The population has risen 15% but NHS staff has risen 80%.

That 1 NHS staff member for every 38 people in this country. That's fucking insane.

The more startling statistic in that is the population grew 15% in 4 years.

A lot of them are part-time. My surgery has about 12 doctors listed on there. But you still can't get an appointment cos they all work a couple of days a week.
Hard to imagine my old GP, Dr Fleishman allowing that type of lightweight carry-on in his practice.

A very emotive subject for me.

I want to support the NHS. I want a healthcare system that is accessible and fair to all.

In the last 2 years i have seen systematic failure upon failure.

Carmen should not of died. They got the heart op spot on. But a effin infection caught at the hospital killed her. How can the "big things" be right when the basics are missing?.

They told Tim it was the end.
24hrs later they said he could have treatment to prolong his life.
6 weeks and no treatment later Tim died.

To the NHS Carmen and Tim are just "statistics".
To me they were people i loved.
To me they were promised the world and got nothing.

These "top bods" at the NHS and ALL these politicians dont care about real people and real life at the current time.
Us nobodies are left empty and hurt.
