Along with,
Pensioners,
Single people,

pensioners are spoilt. The home owning pensioners bought their houses for peanuts and now worth fortunes. I don't know a skint pensioner.
Well you want to get out of your bubble my parents struggle both in there 80's if it wasn't for my youngest brother living there helping out they would be in the shit no they don't own there house the pay full rent not allowed to claim anything never ever have been because my dad has a £90 a week old ICI pension get out of your ivory house and look so you're Wrong

Same with my mother in law, father in law had a stupid little company pension, im sure it wasn't even £90 a week, maybe half, and because of that it took them over the threshold to claim anything, so like you said, they paid full rent and bills with no rights to claim a thing, father in law worked until he was in his 70s, spoilt cunts eh?

OK I will bite. How many pensioners do you know to come out with such a stupid outlandish statement. Numbers to back up what you claim.

For someone never short of a word to say it appears he is somewhat struggling to back up yet another stupid claim. No doubt researching anywhere and everywhere for a glimmer of something that can back him up.

Here's a thought. Look up the ages of those turning to equity release. Many doing it to live and pay their way.....

now you make a very good point. I was married in 1980 so I have a clue of the times. I have never claimed a penny.

I don't know enough about Rent to comment. But I can tell you we bought a new semi in Yarm in 1979 for £12050 and never paid rent. My brother bought a house on Parly Rd for £3400 and sold it for £5000 3 years later buying one beside John Colliers factory on Saltwells Crescent for £9100 in 1980. It's all about choices.

My sister bought a house opposite Sr Mary's college for under £8000.

My brother bought his council house for similar.

As I said we lived the house buying bubble. We lived the dream.

Exactly the same for my dad who recently had to spend £1200 from the little savings he had to have a shower fitted in his social housing flat because his hips and back are so bad he couldn't get in the bath.

Pete, my MiL had one in her private house. R&C paid for it. My FiL had Alzheimer's.

I would recommend that you go and see a benefits specialists it is amazing what they know.

I think my wife paid about £200. It was worth it x 100.
