Pleaded not guilty to incitement (the ex Labour bod that said on video and in front of loads of people that they "need to slit the throats of RW'ers".).

No wonder most others are pleading guilty.

Jones is now on remand and his trial is set for January 2025!.

Should of not let his emotions (i did and im paying the price) get the better of him but this guy could be looking a stretch resevered for the murderers and terrorists.

I wanted to plead not guilty. But just as we were going into court my brief said "if this goes to Crown Court you are looking at 18 months/2years if found guilty".
Is this what is getting said to the rioters?
🤔

Without doubt they are being told to plead guilty, to be given a more lenient sentence. Given what has happened to rioters, I would plead not guilty also. As much as I dislike Jones for what he was shouting, in normal circumstances he should be given a big fine with 12 months suspended sentence. Losing his job on top is punishment enough in my eyes.

The lad in Rotherham given 9yrs is ridiculous, when you compare it to nonces like Huw Edwards, most likely to get less than 12 months. It's all political, and Labour can enjoy themselves in the short term, thinking they are going to succeed with the great reset. In a few years time, they will be the only government controlled by the WEF, just waiting their turn to be obliterated in the next GE.

Does anyone think they can genuinely win the next election after what they've done in the first two months of power?

BoroRedKen

Agree.

The Rotherham lad was obs told at CC he would get the maximum if found guilty which is life for his crime.

Whats life though ken, probably the same amount of time in my view. Not a chance he takes the guilty plea, if he knew he was going to get a nine stretch. I reckon his sentence gets chopped in half on appeal.

BoroRedKen

People think you cannot appeal a if you pleaded  guilty.

Not strictly true.

You can appeal a magistrates sentence but not a CC if guilty was your plea.

I do wonder if this is some defence strategy. Wait and appeal cos it was magistrates.

SKS knows this......

I think he would've still been given 9 years had he gone to trial and been found guilty.
It's going to be interesting to see what the 3 from the Harehills protest will get on 01 October, all 3 charged with Arson likely to endanger life, (same as this lad was charged with) plus an extra charge of Violent Disorder, so what are they looking based on the same sentencing criteria?

11 or 12 years?

You can appeal your sentence but obviously not the conviction.

Odds on reporting restrictions for the Harehills case.

There is no way if found gulity he cannot get at least 9. There would be loons take to the streets if he gets less.
