Our left side is a mess.  In defence and attack we offer very little on that side and it makes the team imbalanced.  Teams predict us attacking on the right and clog that up and as well as the middle.  We struggle to break that defence down as we have no width on the left and don't stretch teams and keep them honest.

I don't rate Engel but it isn't all his fault.  He has no one ahead of him who stays wide left.  He can't overlap as he has no one who will cover for him when he does.

The new left back will have the same issue unless left midfield/ left wing is fixed.  Who can play there and stay out there widening the pitch and creating space as well as providing good crosses etc?

Hamilton?  Maybe but so far he has offered nothing. As soon as he gets the ball he stops and stands still and then usually plays the ball backwards.

McGree?  He could but he drifts in all the time.

Burgzorg?  He's the same - coming central all the time.
