A nice end to the football calendar with a victory over Sunderland

The mighty Boro won the game 2-0 with 2 headers goals at the holgate end from Tony Mowbray & Tony McAndrew, with an attendance of 19,701

The Boro hadn't reached a home attendance of double figures since April 25th April 1984 when 12,362 watched the Boro beat Sheff Weds 2-0

1984-85 - our highest attendance of the season was the final home game of the season, 7,800 v Birmingham
1985-86 - Up to the Sunderland game, our highest crowd was 6,130 v Bradford City, Bernie Slaven's debut
