I know im a bit cafe hearted at the min but just got a text of Tim to say that my next door neighbour Alan, who has been in hospital a while now, is actually in the next bay to his!

Tim and Al are long standing pals. Both mental Boro fans also!

I just thought how bloody nice it will be for both of them to hang out together in hospital for a bit?

It makes my heart hurt that 2 old boys i respect are both having a horrible time of things though.

Mad coincidence! Wishing them both all the very best.

Tim aint going to go without a fight. He is not the biggest bloke around but by god the old boy aint taking it laying down.

The courage and bravery these people show astounds me every time.

The ward (s) are full of similar aged blokes all fighting something.

If im honest i can really understand why people are questioning WTF is going on?

Was it the lack of treatment etc during covid/lockdowns?

The jabs?

Something in the water?

Because unless you visit someone in that place you will have no idea just how many blokes of a certain vintage are in that place.

3 wards. Loads of fellas all fighting on.

Something aint right.

As you all know im not shy so i chat with the other fellas also.

Spoke to loads this last 2 weeks. And cos im a gobshite i mean loads!

But the "factors" are there right in your face.

Age, creed, colour (i cant get into bother for that can i?) all the same.

The majority are victims of that disease i cannot bring myself to write or name.

Lots of them 1st time sufferers. Not many have had it before and beaten it.

I never thought in a million years i would be a widower by the age of 52. Who would?

But because of groups i attend im not an exception.

Blokes in their 30's are in the same boat. At least i got 21 fantastic years with Carmen.

So females are experiencing the same crap.

I say it again.

Something aint right.
