Going into the new season

A hangover from the playoff semi final defeat & then losing our big loanees & Chuba leaving us deflated & a massive hole in our squad before a ball was kicked, starting the season as we did didnt help the cause but Carrick turned a lost cause around, twice now

We ended the season unluckily & wrongly, losing just the one game out of our final 12 games, which has given us fans massive hope for the coming season

New signings & cheap talk doesn't guarentee anything in football, but with Carrick signing an extension to his contract, that for me is the most important signing of the summer, the noises coming out of the Riverside that if you want our players then you have to pay big bucks, more academy players pushing themselves to the first team squad reckoning, that in itself, if successful, will save us a boat load of money

Get McGree to sign a new contract & for me, we're ready to go

Small steps & ambition have been in place since Michael Carrick walked through the door & with that, the future looks a lot rosier than 12 months ago
