It all depends on what the club are willing to spend on him. He certainly isn't getting a 4yr contract on 23k a week, that is a given. I think it's just paper talk, he doesn't fit the current model unless Carrick wants that older head in the middle to balance things out. Ayling hasn't been a bad signing for us, and Swifts stats in this league are top end. I'll ask my Baggies mate what he thinks.

Goal involvements are about 1 in 3 and worked out at about 1 in 2 last season based on minutes played in the champo

I mean.. if the price is right.. he might be a very astute signing!

Would have had him 5 years ago. Past his best now. Couldn't get in West Broms team ahead of Mowatt last season and he couldn't hold down a regular place in our team.

My Baggies mate rates him when fit, good dead ball specialist. However, injury prone, was out a fair bit from what he told me. Also, looks like he's going to sign an extension with Brom.
