Gareth is king lads

Firstly, I very rarely watch England games & last nights was the same with me, im just not interested in our national team one iota, do I want us to win, probably & if we lose, so be it I will file it under the same as the womans euros victory

Secondly, whatever people think of Southgate he has proved over his reign that he's the best we've had by far, maybe on a par with Sir Alf because he won us the world cup but when Southgate does stand aside, if he does, then who, Klopp, Pep, the Special one, whoever comes in through the door has got one mighty record to follow & to beat Southgates reign will have to win trophies to surpass Gareths record

I feel the same way erimus,you couldn't pay me to watch England live, Southgate is a decent man (sacked too soon by Sir Steve imho but that's football) and the team seem like decent lads but I lost interest in England after euro 96 when we got all that spice boys/bling bollocks,"Stevie G" and "Becks" and the mega wages came in.I hope Gareth wins it and then walks away but it's club before country for me,( same as every other clubs fans if they're honest)

I had a feeling we'd get beat that day,it just felt a  strange atmosphere around the ground,the game was over after twenty minutes.
