Went to Barnard Castle school. Yet he said he was from a poor rural area in the NE!

Wont have anything to do with Labours 20% on private schools so that he has to play that down?

BoroRedKen

Im telling you this posh boy aint never seen a wheelie bin in his life. He thinks potholes are what him and Jonty and Tarquin enter to go spelunking!...

Why is being older better for doing your job?

Answer: You need life experience to better understand the different people you represent - different socio-economic backgrounds, demographics, cultures, ages etc to be able to understand the issues that need support, fixing and managing.  You don't have much of anything aged 22.

No one has doneeverything but how many 22 year olds can check off life experiences like:
- working a regular job
- holding that job down year in year out
- getting promoted
- getting made redundant/fired
- struggling to pay rent, mortgage etc and manage family finances
- having relationships with people and breaking up
- getting married
- getting divorced
- having kids
- caring for sick family and friends
- dealing with bereavement
- dealing with your own ill health
- traveling the world
- community work
- addiction
- being in the armed forces, emergency services etc
- making mistakes and working to fix them
- further education
- religion
- successfully leading something - at work in the community as an activist etc

and on and on and on......

You've seen and done absolutely fuck all at age 22.  How can you understand the context and issues at hand when setting public policy or representing your constituency?

There should be a minimum age (35?) and maximum age (65?) to be an MP.
