In a game of top trumps it beats.. never had any working class friends and I did without Sky TV

BoroRedKen

I have to say "Sky Tv" was around back then. It was just called stuff like The Movie Channel.

It was provided through a little Redifussion box with letters on it.

We only had the movie channel because 1 of my bros knew how to connect the white wire to get the channel.

Nah even the first ones (the square dishes) were only there in the early 90s and he went to a private boarding school in the early 90s! £7k a year at the time..

about £50k a year now

didn't sound like he's done without anything! he can't use a debit card, doesn't know how to put petrol in a car.. the guy was an American citizen up until October 2021

not on this planet! the guy has lived in a bubble and is not fit to represent or govern the people of this country.

That's not what he's on about tho isn't?

BoroRedKen

Maybe not. But Sky bought out Redifussion in 1990 i think then it became sky.

I know he should of said "my parents worked hard and i was lucky blah blah". But he was just thinking on his feet.

Its no different to the "Dad was toolmaker" trope Kryten keeps trotting out.

Thinking on his feet? He didn't do very well did he! Considering all that private's education, Oxford, Stanford.

Obviously he couldn't just blurt out.. my parents were rich, I'm rich.. my missus is rich and I've been siphoning public money off to my mates.. and I've been fucking your all over so my family can get much richer!!

He could have just said he was very privileged.. but that didn't mean that he didn't understand poverty.

Being richer than the king of England is a good start.. he's living the American dream!
