At the start of the season I guessed we'd end up somewhere between 6th and 10th so 8th feels about right.  If we hadn't had to bed in a shit load of new players and deal with a ton of injuries we'd have been comfortably in the play offs.

Here's hoping we don't do the same again by selling off half the team and wasting months bedding in new players.  We are in better shape regarding loan players though and have developed some young uns.  I'd try to bring back Ayling - he's been great.  I like his attitude and his contribution has been great the last couple of months.  I'd try for O'Brien too.  I hope they bin Greenwood and Thomas still seems rusty so hard to judge.

For me, keep the following:
- Dieng (top keeper, best since Randolph)
- VDB (will go far in the premiership but keep him another 1-2 years, if we then don't go up sell him for a bundle)
- Clarke (a proper defender for me plus better on the ball than people credit him - love him)
- Ayling (bring him back)
- Hackney (we'll probably try to cash in - he was a bit off the boil this year but will bounce back)
- Howson (put in yet another good shift - he's back for one more year)
- Jones (nice come back season, forms nice partnerships down the right)
- ELL (love his energy and goals, feisty little fucker)
- Forss (I really rate him - love to see him as a striker - best finisher at the club)
- Coburn (if he can avoid injuries he'll develop further and lead the line well - needs to add some goals though)

That's a decent core.

Try to keep most of these, as useful back ups and/or see them develop more - not worried if some go: Glover, Dijksteel, Bangura, Lenihan, Fry, Barlaser, O'Brien, Gilbert, Azaz.

Let go: Thomas, Engel, Smith, McGree (good player but his heart isn't in it), Mcnair, Greenwood, Hoppe, Silvera

Gingerpig

fair  thoughts Mr Suxcox

I have a feeling MC likes Thomas enough to buy ....for a sensible fee
Ayling ...hated the git , but he's genuine with top shithousery
Mcgree will go
Dijksteel gone
Forss ...sadly made of plastic , but great on his days

Bloody hell am being optimistic for next year !

Good post, agree withvall those points raised

Ural Quntz

Bangura has got something worth developing

In With the Lurpak

Gibson's had his melon twisted by Houchen  . He'll probably sell the best players again for a profit and reload with a bunch of knackers from Division 1  :carrick3:

I was hoping for a rendition of 'There's only one Ben Houchen' to see little pube heads reaction

He's started dying his hair by the way.

Not that there's owt wrong with that if you still have any!
