He is - he came into the rescue centre where we go to walk the dogs (they have about 80 of them)

He is 8 years old and has been chained up his entire life!

His ears are split and burned due to sitting in the sun

He has no fur on his tail and hind quarters

He has heart worm and arthritis

Nor sure why his eyes run yet

The centre are sorting all that out and we'll have to treat his heart worm for two years

After all that his first reaction when we went to walk him was to lick our hand!

So he's coming over at the end of April when the centre have sorted his problems and he'll have a decent life at last

His name is Rex and he's a softy

Our resolve not to have another dog after Indy lasted 6 months!

AtomicDog

He's lovely he will have the best life ever with you.

Well done you for saving him. His life is just beginning . . .

Over the moon for you Ural.

He looks a handsome chap. I know he will enjoy the rest of his life now and it sounds its exactly what Mr and Mrs Quntz AND Rex all need.

Well done mate.

Great act of kindness from you saving this old lad  :bigjack

read the post I am taking it he was sat in the sun all day chained up by the cunts who had him before he got rescued . They can't have him sat in the sun all day now at the rescue place .

I think thats what Ural means Crocks.

It really breaks my heart that this stuff goes on.

To me having a dog should be a privilege not a right.

But all Rex needs is love and attention and the fact that Rex can still let a human provide that for him just proves how wonderful dogs are.

Exactly that Crocky - the guy who had him was one of those of limited intelligence when it came to looking after things

He was fond of animals though and collected all sorts, all of which had been neglected.

A neighbour called in the Polizia who called the rescue centre we help with

He's a lot happier now and is moving much better.

He was very strong last time I walked him before we came home

Arrives end of April

Well-done and good luck.

He was never taught any in Spanish so we start from new

He has never met any other dogs

He doesn't know how to play or accept treats

Gonna be fun

As clever as dog's are Mr Blotty they haven't mastered the "Power of speech" so language is irrelevant, it's the tone of the voice.

As for rest time will tell.

He'll certainly know what living is.

"If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man."

Amen
