Our 1st clash with Newcastle as a football league club, a 2nd round FAC clash when they travelled to face the mighty Boro

That season, we started our cup run on the 3rd November
Qualifying round one - at home to Willington Athletic we drew 1st game at Linthorpe road 3-3, drew replay away 0-0 then won the second replay 8-0
Qualifying round two - next up were Jarrow who we beat 3-0, sweet revenge for knocking us out of the previous seasons FAC
Qualifying round three - we then followed up with a 4-0 home win over Bishop Auckland in the third & final qualifying match
1st round proper - we beat Grimsby Town 1-0 away
2nd round proper - then the Geordies came to Linthorpe Road full of hope to end our cup run, but they couldn't either as the Boro ran out 3-1 winners & progressed to the 3rd round
