I prefer the Championship. FFS this is dull.

The premier league has developed VAR to help the big clubs even more. I felt we had a couple of decisions against us v Rotherham but you would hope they were honest mistakes whereas VAR seems to be dishonest.
The championship is a far more competitive league anyway and unless you are loaded in the premier you are screwed

VAR is the biggest nonsense in football, it works in rugby, tennis and cricket because the game stops.

If the decision cannot be made in 30 secs go by the ref decision.

seeing if the ball goes in the goal is a success. But again that is not by decision.

In the end it's a sport, we all want debate and arguments. We don't want to be sat in a freezing your napper off waiting 6 minutes for two bloke to decided if a player's shirt blowing in the wind is 1mm Infront of another players big toe.

VAR has not cured refereeing decisions as it's become far too subjective. I'd keep it for offside decisions only as these are accurate and leave everything else to the referee.

I would get rid today. Leave goal line technology it works.

I am sure you are right, but I can't think of them.

Was one at Sheffield Utd where the keeper hid the ball behind the post?

In June 2020, during a match between Aston Villa and Sheffield United, the Premier League's goal-line technology failed for the first time in over 9,000 matches 1. Villa goalkeeper Orjan Nyland caught a free-kick and accidentally fell backwards carrying the ball over the goal-line. However, referee Michael Oliver did not receive a signal to indicate a goal. Television replays showed the ball had clearly gone into the goal, but with goal-line technology usually so accurate and relied on for this very scenario, VAR was not used to review the footage. After the game finished 0-0, Hawkeye, the operator of the goal-line technology system apologized and acknowledged that the ball had gone over the line. The company said it was the first time such an error had occurred in more than 9,000 matches using the system. It explained that all seven of its cameras monitoring the goal were obscured by either the goalkeeper, a defender or the goalpost 1.

Then in 2022

"The EFL is incredibly frustrated that a technology failure at Huddersfield Town and Blackpool has overshadowed a fantastic weekend of action on the pitch.

"We have now received an initial assessment from Hawk-Eye, the providers of the Goal Line Technology service in the Championship, that during a second-half incident with Huddersfield attacking, the match officials did not receive a signal to their watch or earpiece as, due to multiple factors, the ball was no longer being tracked following it entering the Blackpool goal area."
