David Armstrong missed this cup tie & his 1st missed cup tie since 5th January 1974 v Grantham, Craig Johnston was also in sidelined & the middle of a 5 game out through an injury

Swansea, who were a strong 2nd division team under manager John Toshack & challenging for promotion were the bookies favourites going in to this cup game, with the MOTD cameras ready to see an FAC upset, everything was set up for the mighty Boro to gi tumbling out of the FAC, especially with us having a weakened team with 2 vital members of our midfield out

This game will be remembered for a couple of reasons to those who attended & old enough

Firstly, it seemed every time Swansea had a golden opportunity to score & wasted the chance, we went up the field & scored

Secondly, Terry Cochrane's superb overhead kick for our 4th goal, brilliant

John Neals team, who, IMHO, should have got to the FAC final & not won it
