Sorry, I cant recall that sitcom, Belgrade

It epitomised the "Lad Culture" of the mid-90s. Taking the piss out of your mates, embellishing your sexual prowess and generally acting like a bit of a prick. Had a decent influence on my circle of mates. It also started Samantha Janus...

Yeah, well, my name's Grace
and he was going to "take me to another place."

Just like he was going to "take Marie and set her free."

"Take June to the moon." "Take Eva and never leave her."

And "take Miss Pippy up the Mississippi."

Good job he never dated Samantha Janus........

I know its not Game On (Its lee mack in Not Going Out) but the joke is relevant!

Absolutely right pal. He declined the second series to have a bash at America. Can't remember seeing him too often but he has a fair few credits (admittedly, mostly tosh stuff).

That and men behaving badly epitomise 90's lad culture and will resonate with anyone my age or similar whose lives were similar.  I sometimes think if could watch mine and my mates lives from about 94 to 06 it would be a fantastic resource for some fine comedy, though probably wouldn't have dated well. We got up to some funny and crazy capers.

Ahh, those halcyon days 😍

Thats an aspect of life i really missed out on. I was married and had 3 kids by 19.

I missed the lads holidays, weekend stag dos in Amsterdam, Saturday nights out etc.

The biggest thing i think i missed out on was going to uni.

By the time my marriage had ended the lads were just settling down and having their own kids etc.

A Saturday night out in Boro on your Tony is not the party you might think!
