Appears to be rearing its ugly head again.

Today makes it 5 days in a row the BBC website has run a different article on it.

Surely they wont try that again on the public?

Some "people" are even pushing for the return of masks and social distancing.

Can't see them getting away with it again , I stuck to the rules ( within reason) last time but not sure I would again ( worked right  through it too )

I could not do another 16 months locked away in my house. More so now im on my own. It affected and continues to do so my mental health.

Our kids and grandkids could not afford to miss anymore education/school time.

A society that turned friends against each other to the point they would report you for not wearing a mask.

A society that came out of lockdowns selfish and "im alright Jack fuck you".

No.

I could not follow it again.

"Covid" could kill me. The flu has nearly got me twice. Getting shot wasnt a barrel of laughs. Crossing the road could kill me. Any member of OTR could sneak up and throttle me from behind.
If its tried again i think i will just take my chances like i do with everything lately.

And the food parcels were rank.

The Gov must of thought i was half Chinese/Italian the amount of rice and pasta i got.

Before the scumbagging starts i got food parcels. But just as they were delivered i got a neighbour to take the contents to a local shop that was doing a food crisis type help thingy during lockdown.

Im not that clued up with the WEF etc.

I get the gist of it all.

1 of the most sanest blokes i know who is also 1 of the nicest blokes you could ever wish to meet (Lids and Johnny met him at the funeral) a bloke that actively seeks out the good in people said to me not long ago "Someone is working something like a puppet master".

1st time i have heard him say anything remotely like that before! I was taken aback.

If a guy like him is starting to think like that then i think we might just be in bother.

teamboro

Ken if you read up on the WEF it would shock you what the want also see the Rothschilds family I read snippets and it's shocking they both are behind most things happening in the world right now with the left policies yes including some conservative policies now they both want depopulation down to around 500 million

I truly believe that the lockdowns and herding the general population did more damage to society than any disease could ever do.

I've just got off a boat and a number of people tested positive for COVID whilst i was on it

Me and a few other lads fell ill but never went to see the medic to get tested

BoroRedKen

I was going to say something along the lines of Tommy "but the deaths Tommy and the lives it saved".

But then i just thought of now.

I am almost becoming disaffected by bad news. Before lockdowns etc when you heard a mate had been diagnosed with a major health condition or a mate had just dropped down dead you were genuinely shocked and upset.
You even questioned your own mortality back then.

Today you hear the same news on an almost daily basis. Its become almost so matter of fact.

On a personal level lockdowns, restrictions etc put Carmens heart op and treatment back almost 18 months.

I cant help but think if she had received the op and treatment back then would she still be with me?

Im no Doctor but surely a progressive condition will worsen without the proper treatment? That just seems common sense to me.

Yes Tommy i see your points. It did cause more "damage" to society than it should have.

That last lockdown genuinely fucked my head up. I could have worked through, but having elderly and vulnerable parents and in laws, we locked down and supported them. I don't mind admitting it cracked me.

No way will I go through that again. And to be honest, I don't think my parents or in laws would either.

BoroRedKen

I agree Johnny 100%.

If it was to happen again personally i would just "risk assesses" each situation.

Could not go through ANY form of lockdown again.

Im a nutter anyway thats well known.

But even a level headed guy like Johnny can say it affected him mentally.
That is quite shocking tbh.

Its plain to see.

The damage of lockdowns is still with us all.

BoroRedKen

We are a more angry society now.

And its not just "right wingers".

All aspects of society is full of angry and pissed off people.

And that is how this pantomime ends. Don't test. It's winter, people get colds. Crack on.
They'll think of another way to control us but let's at least kick this Covid bullshit out of the park.

TommyDickfingers

There's a Doctor on Twitter who all the way through said lockdowns would be more damaging and he was and still is absolutely adamant that we should have protected the vunerable but let the generally healthy population get on with day to day life and as someone said, risk assess each situation.

I'm not a covid denier, far from it but looking at the hysteria in some other places every time Covid has a surge and then anyone who dares counter argue back, basically is labelled as someone who wants people to die.

My issues through lockdown pale into insignificance to what some others had to go through mentally and physically but it's fair to say I never knew I could get the black cloud until then and still get the odd day even now, where I feel pretty down.

teamboro

Couldn't agree more Terry I've never been tested I've had the germ warfare x 3 wish I hadn't the tests proved nothing as it's been proven many times the lock downs were mainly to kill the economy and try and control us MSN are still trying to frighten people what has been proven is people would still listen to the government and follow the rules to the letter what I've learnt over the last 3 years is never ever believe what the government tells you research before you do anything

Every school kid in Louisiana got food boxes delivered weekly, whether you needed it or not.  Having 2 kids in school at the time the boxes just stacked up.  Around here they even had to stop people donating them on as supermarkets were littered with unopened boxes of them.

If people didn't have access to television and the internet COVID would be a really bad flu season and that's it.
