When Boro travelled to Old Trafford to face Man United in a 1st division fixture

Boro had started the season in fine form & until the fixture were unbeaten in the opening 8 fixtures, winning 4 & drawing 4, the Man Utd game was another unbeaten game for the Boro as they ran out 2-1 winners with goals from Fred Pentland & Samuel Cail, with their 4th & 2nd goals of the season respectively

Boro finished the season in 16th place, that season was a strange one, Andy Walker, who took over the managers position in June, left in January, then for some reason, IIRC, the board picked the team till the end of the season
