Shall we start clapping for uncle Fred who died in 1971.

It's getting ridiculous now

My old PE teacher died in the West Stand of The Riverside, around our euro days. There was no clapping or anything at the next game, he was a fan, that was it. He died watching the Boro, if anyone deserved to be honoured with an applause, it was him, after all he did die in that stadium as the game was being played.

10 years ago we as fans would clap for an ex player or someone connected to the club, not someone with a season ticket. It's not just the Boro, it's everywhere.

I'm not miserable or heartless, I just find it ridiculous.

Will all the pubs, social clubs, holiday parks, theatres and hotels I have sang in for the last 12 years name the stage after me, hold a minutes silence, have a clapathon or anything else when I die? Will they fuck. And I wouldn't want them to, whether I was famous or not.

Mind you, you are a shite singer.

As if I would know.

As sad as it is losing someone who you want to remember them in some Boro capacity, cry, clap etc & thats what I got at the beginning of the season when we held a minutes silence for former players, our loved ones we've lost & miss

Thats how I remember my brother, dad & fellow mates who followed the Boro & left us, not just recently but years earlier, a thought for them before each season kicks off

A more fitting tribute when everyone in the stadium can have their own thoughts for that minute

The Preston fans Gentry day is a great idea
