I came in from Belfast once on a propeller job, side winds, not a nice day.

Coming back from a holiday a few years ago, the pilot overshot the landing there so hit the power and we had to go around again. Bewers were in full fuckin screamfest.

It is known for lots of aborted landings.

Friend of mine has never flown in/out of LB after landing there a few years ago at 45° to runway in strong wind after a few aborted attempts. Always flies out of Edinburgh now instead if there's nothing from Newcastle
