Boro v Carlisle

Seen the lowest crowd at Ayresome Park of 2,177 for a competative match
Boro winning 2-0 & going through to the northern semi final to play Hull City

Goals on that tuesday night coming from ex Carlisle favourite Don O'Riordan, his 1st goal for the Boro & the only time he scored for us when we won & an OG

Although that unwanted attendance record was broken some eight years later when only 1,633 of us we hardly shoe-horned into the north stand upper & east end seats for an Anglo-Italian Cup match against Brescia.
Unfortunately, they weren't handing out free team sheets at the turnstyles for this one. If they were, I certainly didn't get one.
