Season 1921/22 had started well for the Boro & with only the one defeat in our first 8 1st divison fixture games the Boro were in a confident mood when we travelled to Valley parade to face Bradford City, a ground we've been victorious on 5 occasions, winning the last 2 games there

Boro continued their good start to the season with their 3rd win on their travels with a comfortable 2-0 win with goals from from the legendary goalscorer, Andrew Nesbit Wilson, his 8th of the campaigne & Robert Pender, his 1st goal of the season

Manager Jimmy Howies team finished the season in 8th place, in our 16th consecutive season in the top flight, equalled the same position as the previous season
