The 7th October 1905 George Thomas Reid scored the 1st ever hat trick at Ayresome Park, in a second division match when scoring 3 goals in a 5-1 win over Bury
Two other goalscorers were Charlie Hewitt & legendary Alf Common, taking the goalscorers tally to the season to 4, 1 & 2 respectively


George Reid, who was our 100th registered player, became the 4th different Boro player to score a 1st team hat trick & the 5th HT overall since we joined the football league in 1899, 4 at previous ground
