The fastest derby goal at Ayresome Park was scored after only 17 seconds Bernie bagged his 5th goal of the season when Ball played a simple ball back to his own keeper who wasnt standing where he thought he should be, only for the Sunderland keeper to try to stop the back pass & instead just palmed it into the path of the incoming Slaven & in front of the ecstatic holgate end putting the Boro 1-0, all this after Sundeland had kicked off

Boro went 2-0 up Mark Proctor had a shot the Sunderland keeper saved but, again, could only palm it to a Boro player when Paul Wilkinson following up graciously accepted for his 6th of the season, Boro were looking comfortable & the 2-0 score remained at HT

Will the Suderland keeper claim assists for both of our goals!

Boro hit the destruct button in the 2nd half when cruising & in total control, as the ball was going towards Sunderlands corner John Hendrie kicks out at the Sunderlands full back, both players receiving their marching orders with Sunderland benefiting immediatly, a vital player for the Boro going of, within seconds Sunderland clawed a goalback, but we held on in the end

Used to see Lennie in Welling, ( Kent) or deepest South London.I don't know which! Went regularly there so I guess it was a favourite haunt when at Charlton. Indian place - great food
