Police officers are members and posters on Fmttm?

There are quite a few.
Its a shame these officers are having to read the diatribe directed at ARO policing.

Im not a big fan of the cops. Not because im a criminal but my last 3 dealings with CP have been awful.
But to do that job (ARO) and now having to think of the consequences of pulling the trigger alongside the spilt second decision whether to seems now like an impossible task.

Even a manslaughter charge would have caused ructions but a murder charge? No wonder they are handing their tickets in.

I have been involved as a witness with the police on many fraud cases. They are very professional in every way. The issue is when it gets to court. Lawyers bluntly take the p. A case will be delayed for any reason man can think of. This takes up unreal amounts of police time.

I was once in a case in Glasgow where a woman had stolen over £200k it was as simple a case as possible. She banked company cheques. The case took 18 months to court it should have taken 3 max. I think it was adjourned at least 7 times, always the Monday. That meant me and another bloke going up there on the Sunday to be ready to be told nope not today. She eventually pleaded guilty. It wasn't even a slap on the wrists.

I would back the police every time. They don't make the laws they just have to follow them.

As for the Met lad, I am convinced it will be not guilty. Then the riots start.

I suppose sometimes we just do not understand some of the CPS charging decisions.

The stuff some of them otr are saying about ARO's is appalling.

I have no great love for cops but how can anyone even have a "valid" opinion of an armed cop and that split second decision he/she has to make before firing if we have never been in that situation.

1 of the soundest, honest and all round good egg of a mate is a Sgt. I cannot believe that fella goes to work everyday with any prejudices in his mind. I dont see him too much but i can say hand on heart he is a good bloke. You would not even know he was a cop out of uniform. He is a normal bloke doing a thankless job lately.

And there can be no way a poster OTR could of been serious with the comment "maybe the police should wait until they are shot at before firing".
