Really enjoyed the program, 5 Select, took me back to that extraordinary summer, great times, finally playing out with a concert showing the Sex Pistols & the start of the punk era, one more school year to go, then to work young man

Always love seeing program's on the 70's especially the different xars of the times & dress sense

Still, a young school kid running around in black plimsolls (remember them) everyone had a pair, them and bassys (baseball boots) jeans with a patch on the knees if you got a hole in them. Fell off me bike Dad and got a hole in my jeans - Dad, 'get a patch on them' and you will be alright to wear again. - it was actually trendy back then to have a patch. Happy Days.

Was working in a family business in York. It was a busy newsagents and post office. My abiding memory? Getting up at 5.30 to mark up the papers for delivery and having the shop door open every day. Sunshine making every day a pleasure - not many folk around at that time and hearing the birds singing away.

Simple pleasure I know but one stuck in the memory bank.

Mind, still managed to get to the Cats Whiskers on a weekend. A real bewerfest.

Basket ball tops and platform shoes, or had that phase ended?

Listened to real shite Punk stuff, so many crap bands it was unreal.

It was the year I took my wife out, I had just turned 18, still no regrets.

It was chugging hot though.
