Great photo & a class strip, McLean homes 👍, recently got offered a legit shirt, £700, what

Darden Wood - Played for us between 1981 to 1984, 115 games, 6 goals, played every game in seasons 1982/83 & 1983/84, wearing shirt Nos 2,3,5,6,7,9,10, excellent player for us, he was part of the transfer with John Neals Chelsea, that seen us receive £72k & Tony McAndrew

Jim Platt - Played 468 games between 1971-1983, my favourite & to me, our best keeper, sometimes he played CF for the reserves, scored a couple of hat tricks for them too

Mick Kennedy - Loved the lad, his aggression, a top, top hard midfielder, played 79 games between 1982 to 1984, scoring 5 goals, when he was sadly sold to Alan Balls Portsmouth
His last goals came in a 3-2 home defeat to Derby County, those 2 goals came on his 22nd birthday, also my dear mams birthday too, which was also Kevin Beatties final Boro game

RIP Mick Kennedy x

That was the transfer that drove  Big Mal away.

Only keeper i have seen that was close to Platty, possibly The Big Aussie

I can agree with that.

I have met Jim Platt numerous times, 1st name terms, not as a name dropper or a fan groupee just someone I have got to know over the many years following the Boro & attending former player reunions, a lovely bloke who will always chat & talk with you, whether at a Boro game, reunion or Thornaby town centre

Though something that is expected from the golden generation

Always loved Platty. Definitely the best Boro keeper I've seen.

He is a fuckin cheating cunt though.
Years back he was a governor or something at one of the schools in, if memory serves me, Yarm or Ingleby.
My son's team played them one day. We scored to go 1-0 up with about a minute remaining.
Platty allowed his boys to kick off while ours were still celebrating. Cunts went in on the keeper six v one and scored.

Fuckin sore losing , cheating cunt.
