Probably a bit too old to be our main No9 in Carricks system , i might have had him in the squad as back up or from the bench.

I don't think we will get 29 goals this year from Akpom, so we either tighten up at the back or Carrick is looking to surprise us with a signing/s, either that or the extra goals need to come from somewhere. I would be happy with Akpom if he bags 15 this season. I have a feeling the saying a one season wonder will be rolled out on him.

We all hope Akpom staya & carries on his excellent goalscoring form into next season, he nay not feel loved as ge is here & with that his form could dip, not only his goalscoring but his overall contribution was a big factor to our season

Saying that, I think the club will have offered him an extension to his contract, get everything sorted before mid July, or leave for another club, we dont need the uncertainty of losing Akpom in the early part of the season

Yes, my feelings are similar to yours erimus, I don't like the fact once January comes they start putting 'their' name about and any club comes in and say we will have you for free in the summer and rather than give you 2 million a year we will give you 4 million due to saving on the fee. The only thing is if you are injured deal is off. I don't care want anyone says he will switch off, as cowardly as this sounds I would do the same myself and switch off for fear of injury
