31/3/1964 - On this day, Frank Spraggon made his 1st team debut away to Huddersfield Town in a 1-0 defeat, replacing Bryan 'Taffy' Orritt in the starting line up

Frank registered No441wearing the No6 shirt played Wing Half, a great servant to the mighty Boro he went on to play 318 games, plus 5 as sub, scoring a total of 3 Boro career goals between 1963-1976

16/12/1970 - Birmingham City H won 4-2

15/4/1972 - Norwich City H won 1-0

9/3/1974 - Cardiff H won 2-1

26/11/1966 - Frank was our 1st ever FAC sub when named No12 for our 1st round tie away at Chester,  he replaced John O'Rourke in the second half of our 5-2 win

16/12/1969 - His 1st Boro goal was at home to Birmingham in a 4-2 win

15/4/1972 - His 2nd Boro goal was at home to Norwich in a 1-0 win

9/3/1974 - His 3rd & final Boro goal was at home to Millwall in a 2-1 win, the winning goal & the last outfield player to score in that glorious, unforgettable season

20/3/1976 - His final Boro game was at home to Derby County in a 2-0 defeat, he was subbed by Brian Taylor

He never completed a full season of games during his time at the Boro, he wore shirt Nos, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 12

Son in law of Harold Shepherdson, Frank was a very important member of the 1973-74 legends & had a well deserved testimonial at home to Dynamo Zagreb

A fantastic player and a great servant to the club.
I remember his testimonial. A 2-2 draw with Dynamo Zagreb if my memory serves me correctly.
He scored a penalty.
