Greenwood needs to show how he's worth £1.5m, a class free kick v Leicester, a lovely finish v Sunderland but his performances in general have been way poor, often when the move breaks down at him, plenty of speed when unsettling defenders but apart, poor

That bench must be the youngest & most inexperienced for a league game in our history

Great first half, should have been in front, created lots of chances with their keeper making a number of big saves

Clarke playing well, as is Rogets, Engel unlucky with his effort, so to was Greenwood, Barlasar playing well

I always shit meself when Clarke, a natural left footer, turns to knock the ball to Fry. He looks uneasy.
A good manager will pick up on that.

The opportunity to partner Kavanagh with Coburn has past by. Should have hooked Greenwood on 60.

Great first half, awful 2nd, we've conceded 40 goals & with the alarming rate since Carrick arrived we'll find ourselves midtable

Does Michael Carrick actually think Greenwoid adds anything to any game, he should have been replaced on the hour, well at HT, if im honest

He runs around, breaks play down more often than not, hes just got nothing to his game that iffers any encouragement

Rogers had a cracking game, thiught Clarke did too, Glover wasnt to be blamed for any of the goals, Howson & Barlasar were ok but over run too oftern, Coburn was really good 1st half but a lobe figure 2nd with 2, 3 defenders with him at all tines

All up to Kim Jong now to stick his hand in his pocket and save the season .

I am permanently optimistic but today was poor. I thought they were unlucky with the result, we had a good hiding.

Agree 100% about Greenwood he is very poor. He should have been off for Bangura at half time.

I dont mean this to be having a go at Carrick but games as like today are the reason I have no worries of him not been here next season & happy that he will be our manager next season

He struggles to out think managers, which is expected due to limited experience, if & when, he learns from that then maybe he'll be looked at by other clubs, until then I'll happily see him learning his apprenticeship here

Two semi finals in 12 months is not a bad record if we're truthful

Fair enough, he knew our lack of goalscorers & players made their rask a lot easier in the 2nd half

You can think as much as you like compared to other managers but if there is no one on the bench to bring on you are pretty much tom ducked

We never got the run of the ball first half - their first goal was also their first shot.

We looked pretty tired second half which is a function of squad depth pure and simple

Not sure why people are surprised - mid table was always going to be our place this year.

I said 2 to 3 years to rebuild a decent squad but hey ho lets see what we can bring in and enjoy the occasion of the Cup games if not, as I fear, the results

Agree with most of that Ural, but Greenwood offered nothing, which has been the case for 90% of the games hes played in, just think Kavanagh was given 20, 25 minutes, he may have been just been as ineffective, we'll never know, but to give him 3, 4 minutes was poor, though before that Bangura for Engel, like for like

Fact is Coventry were fantastic going forward in the second half and we couldnt live with them especially when they got the third.
Robins clearly called it right at half-team as we were committing too many forward. Where as we needed a proper midfield enforcer rather than an inept Greenwood going nowhere all game.

New Year's Day

Coventry

Long injury list

Key players on international duty

We didn't stand a chance

We were brilliant in the first half but were knackered in the second half and had nothing on the bench
