After making over 400 appearences for the mighty Boro, scoring 28 goals & acheiving his childhood dream of, not only playing for the club he supported but, becoming a legend, a captain & manager, Mogga returned on this day for a well deserved testimonial with his new team, Celtic
On the 8th September 1982, Bobby Murdoch gave both, Paul Ward & Mogga, their debuts in an away derby clash with Newcastle United, his final Boro game was a 2-1 defeat at Barnsley on bonfire night 1991
Bobby had given Mogga one job & a hard one at that, to man mark Newcastles talisman, Kevin Keegan, he must have done a good job as he kept Keegan & Newcastlle quiet with the Boro coming away with our 1st point of the season, Darren Wood scored our equaliser after Mick Channon had scored his 1st of 2 Newcastle goals

A19 was rammo between Billog and Boro with Celtic coaches
In terms of numbers and the way they just wandered around that end of the town pissed up. It was the craziest look (not in a violent way) I've seen from any away support at Middlesbrough.
Horrible fuckers but they do show up when down in England as do Rangers of course.
I would have them down here, and even give them both a pass into the championship. It would fun but i do think they would offer something and break into the elite in the premier league quite quickly given a chance.
Both Huge clubs in support, but would bring out the worst in English hooliganism again should they join our leagues down here in England, so I don't think it would ever happen in my lifetime.
