I'm not blown away by it. I was expecting better due to all the positive reviews.

I think it's bang average to be honest.

Gets better.....

All a bit tongue in cheek but a Gazette review might say 'Rollicking good fun'

They'd spell it incorrectly though

Finished it off like.

I'd say average at best.

I may go back and redo it at some point.

Billybalfour1

Anybody watched it yet?
If so what you think?
Just finished it, bit wierd but gripping for us.

Northallerton_Boro

thought it was brilliant.

Was unsure after the first episode, thought it was going to be silly but then it got really dark and had us gripped. Really interesting seeing the effect everything had on him.

Geoff_B

Yeah I just watched it all, agree after 1st episode I turned it off, but went back to it last night and watched the other 7.

It does take quite a drastic turn, very good though

Yes, Episode 4 definitely takes a bit of a dark turn.
His comedy act was pretty shite though.

Watched Red Eye episode one on itv last night. Likes a bit of espionage does red. All episodes available on ITVX

Started watching The Gentlemen, and so far so good, good craic. Much better than what I was expecting, due to the mixed reviews.

Ripley on Netflix. Got 2 episodes left, really enjoyed it. Its in black and white and set in Italy 1960's. Reminds me of a Hitchcock style thriller.

It's on my favs list to watch, with about 20 other box sets  :alf:

I'm 4 episodes in with Shogun which is really good, and Masters of the air, which is pretty good so far.

tonyangelino

I've just realised that Ripley is a tv adaptation of the film The talented Mr Ripley but i've never seen that.

tunstall

It's not about the bewer from Alien then?

tonyangelino

Not unless she was in The Talented Mr Ripley

Redsteel (Moderator)

Just finished Masters of the Air. It was an eye opener, the stats that were given out, and the life expectancy was shocking for these young kids. And that's what they were, young kids still, cut down before their lives even started. Heroes, everyone of them.

Culloden
through to American war of Independence with a twist.
The main character fresh from ww2 is holidaying with her husband in Inverness and comes across a stone circle and becomes transported 200 years into the past.

Sounds naff but really isnt. You will become embroiled into the story.
Seven Series. About 80 episodes.
